What Is The Process Of Hot Air Through Nonwoven Fabric?

2023-03-30

Air-through nonwoven ES fiber is one of the ideal thermal bonding fibers, mainly used for thermal bonding processing of Non Woven Fabric. When the combed fiber web is thermally bonded by overheating rolling or hot air passing, the low melting point component forms a fusion bond at the intersection of fibers. After cooling, the fibers at the non - intersections remain in their original state, which is a form of " point bonding " rather than " area bonding ", so the product has the characteristics of fluffy, soft, high strength, oil absorption, and blood absorption. In recent years, the application of thermal bonding methods has been rapidly developed, fully relying on these new synthetic fiber materials.

After the Hot Air Non Woven Fabric ES fiber and PP fiber are mixed, they are thermally bonded or needle - punched to make the ES fiber cross - linked and bonded to each other. The advantage of this method is that it does not require the use of adhesives and backing.

In hot air bonding, air is the heat carrier. As the air penetrates the web, heat is transferred to the fibers. Therefore, first of all, it is necessary to ensure that the hot air will not damage the structure of the fiber web during the circulation process. In the initial stage of the fiber web entering the drying chamber, the fibers are only dependent on the holding force. If the introduction method and speed of the hot air flow are not suitable, the structure of the fiber web will be damaged. Secondly, it is necessary to ensure that the fiber web is evenly heated, so that the performance of the reinforced fiber web is uniform and stable. The temperature deviation of each part is controlled within ±1.5 °C. The temperature of the drying room should meet the process requirements. Ordinary drying equipment is mainly used for drying water, and its heating temperature is generally low, which is not suitable for hot air bonding production. The temperature of the drying room should be able to reach the melting point temperature of the binder fiber used, generally 140 ~ 220 °C. In addition, it must be ensured that the fiber web has enough heating time to obtain a good bonding effect, that is, the drying chamber needs to have sufficient length.

Thermal bonding of Non Woven Fabric Roll can be achieved by different heating methods. The bonding method and process, fiber type, carding process and web structure ultimately affect the performance and appearance of the non woven favric.
For webs containing low - melt fibers or bicomponent fibers, calender bonding or air - through bonding can be used. Calender bonding can be used for webs of common thermoplastic fibers and their blends with non - thermoplastic fibers. Under the same net shape process, the thermal bonding process has an important impact on the performance of Nonwoven Fabric and determines the use of the product.
