The Difference Between PP Non Woven Fabric And PET Non Woven Fabric

2022-08-02

PP is polypropylene raw material, namely polypropylene fiber, which belongs to thin Nonwoven Fabric. PET is a new polyester raw material, namely polyester fiber, without any additives in the whole production process. It is a very good environmental protection product and belongs to thick Non Woven Fabric.

Comparison of non woven fabric polypropylene and Polyester Non Woven Fabric:
1. Polypropylene Non Woven Material is cheap and PET Nonwoven Fabric is expensive. The waste of PP can be returned to the furnace for reuse, and the waste of PET cannot be returned to the furnace, so the cost of PP is slightly lower.
2. The high temperature resistance of PP is about 200 degrees, while that of PET is about 290 degrees. PET is more resistant to high temperature than PP.
3. Nonwoven printing, heat transfer effect. The same width PP shrinks more, PET shrinks less, and the effect is better. PET is more economical and wasteful.
4. Tension, tension, bearing capacity, the same gram weight, PET is larger than PP tensile force, tension, bearing capacity. 65 grams of PET is equivalent to the pulling force, tension and bearing capacity of 80 grams of PP.
5. From the perspective of environmental protection, PP is doped with PP waste, and PET is all new polyester chips. PET is more environmentally friendly and hygienic than PP.

Features of PET nonwoven fabric:
1. Polyester spunbond filament non woven fabric is a water - repellent non woven fabric. The water - repellent properties of nonwoven fabrics are different according to the size of the gram. The larger and thicker the gram weight, the better the water repellency. If there are water droplets on the surface of the non woven fabric, the water droplets will slide directly from the surface.
2. High temperature resistance. Because the melting point of polyester is around 260 °C, it can maintain the stability of the non woven fabric in the environment where temperature resistance is required. It has been widely used in thermal transfer printing, transmission oil filtration, and some composite materials that require high temperature resistance.
3. Polyester spunbond non woven fabric is a filament non woven fabric second only to nylon spunbond non woven fabric. Its excellent strength, good air permeability, tensile and tear resistance and anti - aging properties have been used by more and more people in various fields.
4. Polyester Spunbond Nonwoven fabrics also have a very special physical property: resistance to gamma rays. That is to say, if it is applied to medical products, it can be directly sterilized with gamma rays without destroying its physical properties and dimensional stability. This is a physical property that polypropylene spunbond nonwoven fabrics do not have.
