Now the working environment of painting has been greatly improved, and most of them have added spray booths for painting. At present, there are mainly two bottom structures to deal with the exhaust gas in the exhaust air of the spray booth, one is laying filter bottom cotton ( dry method ), the other is water cyclone or water curtain ( wet method ), and subsequent adsorption by activated carbon is required. Incineration and other treatment can be discharged into the atmosphere. It may be due to the relatively low cost of dry spray booths and no need for waste water treatment. Except for some automobile manufacturers and large and medium - sized enterprises that use wet spray booths, small - scale painting by small and medium - sized enterprises and 4S shops that can be seen everywhere mostly uses dry spray booths. Therefore, the amount of botton Filter Cotton on the market is relatively large, and the research on reducing its amount has good economic and environmental benefits.

The function of filter bottom cotton:
There are three types of Filter Fabric for dry spray booths: one is the initial effect air inlet filter cotton ( Non Woven Fabric ), which is used for coarse filtration at the air inlet of the spray booth; the second is filter top cotton ( such as 600 G, 560 G ). The air is finely filtered at the top of the spray booth, and the filtration grade is F - 5. There are 3 states of full viscosity, semi - viscosity and dryness ( non - stickiness ); the third type is the filter bottom cotton ( glass fiber paint resistance mesh ). It is used for filtration at the bottom of the spray booth, and the filtration level is G2. The filter bottom cotton is composed of continuous monofilament glass fibers with a sparse and dense structure, and its filter fibers are conducive to storing paint mist, dust and other particles. In the early stage of use, it can not only capture paint mist particles, but also have better air permeability. However, after a long time of use, the paint mist particles are continuously adsorbed and filled in the filter fibers until they are saturated and fail. Generally, the dust holding capacity of filter bottom cotton is about 4 kg / m2.

The filtered waste gas can be discharged into the atmosphere only after the organic solvent gas in it is adsorbed by activated carbon. Activated carbon mainly uses its relatively dense structure and many tiny pores on the surface to adsorb organic solvent waste gas. If the filter bottom cotton is not used to capture the sticky paint mist particles, they will directly block the pores of the activated carbon and cause it to fail prematurely or even fail to function. Therefore, the filter bottom cotton is an indispensable consumable for the dry spray booth to reach the standard discharge.

When the filter bottom cotton is first used, the ventilation is very good, and the resistance is about 20 Pa. With the extension of time, the paint mist particles adsorbed inside and on the surface will increase, the air permeability will become worse, and the wind resistance will become larger. When the resistance is about 300 Pa, it needs to be replaced, otherwise it will seriously affect the exhaust effect. The paint mist generated during painting will be in the flying in the spray booth contaminates the walls of the spray booth and other products. The replacement of the filter bottom cotton is more troublesome, requires a certain amount of manual input, and is replaced too frequently, and the time node is difficult to grasp. According to relevant laws and regulations, the replaced filter cotton is hazardous waste because it contains long glass fibers and paint slag. It needs to be sent to a qualified unit for special treatment.
